Finishing as the 3 seed we play the 6th seed a team in which we split the regular season games with. We knew it would be a tough series but we got the sweep with 98-94 and 89-77 victories. I finished with 15 points 8 rebounds and 2 assists; and game 2 stats 23 points 5 rebounds and 3 assists. On to the Semi-Finals….
With the last 4 games of the regular season over we will get ready for the playoffs. We split the last 4 games. The first game of 4 we won 100-92 I finished with 25 points 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Game 2 we won 68-59 I finished with 18 points 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Game 3 we lost in overtime 94-93 I finished with 19 points 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Game 4 we also lost 95-89 I finished with 17 points 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Now we get ready for the playoffs.
This past Sunday we won our 16th game of the year 88-77. After the 1st quarter we were down 33-24. But we managed to take the lead at the half 48-42. We had 18 turnovers and we were out rebounded and still won. We are still 3rd in the league with 4 regular season games to go before the playoffs. I finished with 21 points 8 rebounds 3 assists and 3 steals.
Our last 3 games have gone well. We won all 3 by scores of: 74-58, 79-73, and 90-75. We are still in 3rd place with 5 games to go before the playoffs. Stats from the last 3 games 19 points 3 rebounds 4 assists and 3 steals. 12 points 5 rebounds and 3 assists. 24 points 6 rebounds 3 assists and 1 block..
Our last 2 games were against the 2nd and 6th place teams in our league so we knew they would be tough games. The first of the two games was vs a team that has put us out of the playoffs two out of the last three years and they have won 11 out of the last 12 games. So it has been a struggle to beat them. We were up most of the game and with about 3 minutes to go we were up 5 and we turned the ball over 3 times in a row and they capitalized on our mistakes and we never recovered to take another loss 96-89. I finished with 19 points 11 rebounds 7 assists and 1 steal.
The second game was on the road to team earlier in the year we lost to by 1 point( on a missed free throw by me) but this game would not be so close as we controlled the game from start to finish winning 76-61. I finished with 21 points 8 rebounds 6 assists and 2 steals.
