We finished the regular season 18-8 for 3rd place and we lost in the decisive game in the finals by 1 point. On the coaching side I coached 2 teams the “B team” for my club which is in 4th division and we finished 17-9 for 3rd place. And the U21 team finished with a 30-2 record and were National Champions, Flemish Champions, and Limburg Champions.
Season 2016-2017
My first full season as a coach. My first coaching job was with the team I played on the previous 5 seasons, Houthalen in Top Division 1. So coaching my former teammates was an interesting dynamic. The season before the team made it to the finals but this season we lost 3 starters and with those 3 starters 56 points 19 rebounds 6 assists and 4 steals a game went with them. We finished 15-11 for 5th place and a trip to the playoffs. We were swept in the quarter-finals but a really good season after what we lost. I also coached the “B” team (development team)with all youth players in 4th division and we finished 16-10 for 4th place. With the U21 team we finished 27-4 and for the 3rd year in a row we were National Champions. 3peat
